Riding in Tuscany

Great roads, great food, inspiring countryside and great company. That’s Tuscany. It’s the same for everyone. Lance Armstrong has to go for a dump every day and so have you. He rides a lot. You have to ride more if you want to go up a level. Anything that helps embellish this experience will enhance your enjoyment of a sport that is inherently unforgiving. If you don’t pedal, the bike won’t go anywhere.

Tuscany inspires and invigorates a bike ride. It has everything. Great roads, restaurants and stunning scenery. That’s why we go there every year…

Carlo’s Hotel in Casteneto Carducci is our home from home. Ex Pro cyclist owned. Pro staff manned.

Ridgeway Ride…

Britain’s Oldest Road …

87 miles (139km) long, much of it following the ancient chalk ridge route used by prehistoric man, The Ridgeway offers the chance to get away from the bustle of life in this busy part of England. Perfect for long distance use, this Trail is also ideal for day trips

Walkers can enjoy the whole of The Ridgeway and cyclists and horse riders considerable lengths – all of the 43 miles (69km) of the western half from Overton Hill to the River Thames at Streatley

We are riding this stretch…  Overton to Streatley

New electronic dura ace confirmed.

Shimano has announced the highly anticipated electronic road component series, DURA-ACE with Di2 technology. The products, due in January,  will be compatible with the new mechanical DURA-ACE 7900 series. Di2 stands for Digital Integrated Intelligence.

This innovative shift technology is still based on the Shimano Index System. The big difference is that in this case, the shifting action is provided for by electronics instead of mechanics.

This electronic shifting system has been tested extensively over the past two years by several professional riders in all weather and surface conditions.

Yeah… will they race with it yet ?
